The new site aims to enhance clients’ digital experience and signpost to tailored support
A new website from charity WithYou will encourage more people to seek support with challenges around drugs, alcohol and mental health.
During a comprehensive research phase, the charity spoke with its own clients, external stakeholders, staff and other people with lived experience of drugs, alcohol and mental health to enhance the user experience. As a result, the new site features improved functionality, easier access to essential information to help people access support and modern design.
One significant change is the enhancement of individual “local hubs” for its services in England and Scotland to improve regional visibility, with each hub featuring more accessible and tailored information. It will help the right people see the right content, including the support each service offers, as well as positive news stories about recovery.
Stephen McCulloch, Executive Director - Marketing and Communications said, “We’re delighted to unveil our new website that aims to better meet the needs of clients and other audiences.
“Every recovery journey begins with a first step and our new website will make it easier than ever for clients to take it. Whether it's finding the nearest in-person service or accessing self-help advice, in just a few clicks clients will be on a path that suits them.
“Significant effort has gone into building our new website, and I’d like to thank the clients, staff and partners who have helped shape it. We also look forward to continuing to add content and enhance features over time.”
Other new features include personalised information pages. After answering a series of questions, clients can easily find what information they need, whether that be talking to someone, finding a local service or general information. The site will continue to host its webchat service - a digital tool that connects clients to a trained recovery worker online.
The design of the site aligns with a brand refresh carried out by WithYou in 2023 and incorporates accessible colours, photographs and videos of clients and staff.
The website was developed by the digital agency, ScreenMedia.
